UPGRADING TO VISTA, SEE BELOW

This page displays the appearance of the WindowsXP platform, but the methods used here apply the same way, for other windows platforms, including Vista.

In addition, you might in some cases need to go into internet options advanced and Enable personalized favourites Menu.
Worth mentioning here, if you intend to upgrade an older computer, to Vista, you should be aware, of the following issues, Graphic driver, audio driver, will need to be downloaded, your set-up disk for mother board, which install all device drivers for the mother board, you will not be able to use this in most cases, were no vista drivers are provided, furthermore, Vista may not allow you to open some programs, because the on board graphic has unsupported compression or expansion compliance, in this event, you need to install a AGP card with support DDRam, if no AGP slot is present, you may have a spare PCI slot, for this, make very sure you only install a AGP card compliant with your mother board operating voltage, for example 1.5v AGP, 3v AGP, 5v AGP, [Core voltage] be warned, this is NOT the simple issue upgrade you might think, these boards are not sold as standard fit, or compliance, so make sure the contact strips exactly match, and the Notch position is correct, the notch determines in the main the voltage used, dual notch would most likely be 1.5v/3v [right,] 5v [left] if it fits perfectly, it is very likely to work ok, again the driver in Vista, is likely to be a issue, but go to the vendors web site driver downloads, most now have a check your computer tool, you need to allow the tool download first, then it will select your driver, you may save or run the download, if you have doubt, do not make this upgrade your self, get a advanced computer Buff to do it for you, [Engineer] or, if in boubt about the AGP slot were it says, ”ONLY INSTALL 1.5V AGP CARD”, best get a standard PCI slot type, this is not the same as a PCI express, type, Vista is now fully driver friendly, but if your computer is more than two years old, and has only minimal recourses like PSU, SDR, DDR, CPU clock speed,[less than 1.5GHZ] best buy new,
